VF Rescue & Sanctuary

Sanctuary Dog of the Month

Dutchess was turned into a shelter at over 10 years old. Suffering years of neglect, she lost teeth, had missing fur, and a permanent limp.

Dutchess was also scared, and angry. Prone to attacking if you moved hands too close, or fast, around her. She was dubbed Cujo, uncontrollable, and destined for euthanasia.

Fortunately she had a place to go and became a permanent part of the sanctuary. She’s made friends with the other sanctuary dogs, and has come a long way from the scared little thing facing death because a human did her wrong.

Dutchess is the face of who we save here. Please send her some love, and help us continue helping dogs like her!

What We Do

01

SAVE

We rescue dogs from shelters, strays, and owner surrenders: once healthy, fully vetted, and at their best, we help get them into “fur”ever loving homes.

02

HEAL

VF doesn’t turn away a dog who is struggling with health problems. If they can be healed, they will become one of our adoptable dogs, waiting for a loving family like you.

03

LOVE

Not every dog can be healed. Some chronic conditions can only be managed, with the goal of allowing them to live out their lives in a loving sanctuary, for as long as they choose to stay with us.

Support & Protect Dogs in Need

Contribute to our meaningful cause in saving stray dogs across the states. Your help makes a positive impact on the dogs that desperately need our intervention and protection.

Buster and Fanny

We Are Growing

We have saved, healed, and loved so many dogs already, and we have many exciting plans to save hundreds more dogs in the coming years.

Spay and Neuter

We strongly believe that spaying and neutering dogs saves future lives and have plans in the making to contribute to education and cost reduction for our communities.

Veterinary Care

We believe in scientific medical care for dogs. We work closely with our local vets to ensure our dogs receive every possible treatment they may need, as well as receiving monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives, yearly vaccines, and rabies.

Holistic Care

In combination with expert vet care, we believe there are natural solutions that help dogs; vitamins, supplements, and natural remedies and we never hesitate to use anything that would benefit the dogs.
